Plagiarism Policy

  • All manuscripts submitted to the International Journal of Ocean Law, Maritime Security and Space Law must be original and free from plagiarism or unattributed use of previously published material.
  • The journal generally requires the similarity index to remain below 10%, excluding references, bibliography, and properly cited quotations.
  • All submissions may undergo plagiarism and similarity screening before entering the peer-review process.
  • Authors are responsible for properly acknowledging all sources, quotations, ideas, data, and previously published work used in their manuscripts.
  • Manuscripts demonstrating substantial plagiarism, duplicate publication, or significant unattributed similarity may be rejected without proceeding to peer review.
  • Where academic misconduct is identified after publication, the journal may take appropriate corrective action in accordance with its publication ethics policies.
